1. How often will MILE HIGH SENIOR EYECARE visit?

We typically schedule monthly visits to facilities and if more frequent care is needed that can be arranged.

3. Do you provide glasses?

YES!! Glasses selection, fitting and adjustments performed ON-SITE. We offer an affordable and stylish selection. FREE Name Engraving so residents and staff can easily find their glasses. FREE Anti-scratch coating and UV protection on all lenses.

4. What if there is an ocular emergency?

Emergencies outside of normal business hours will be accommodated expeditiously per doctor availability.

5. What will happen during an exam?

  • Visual acuity testing to measure the clarity of sight
  • Refractive evaluation to diagnose refractive errors and prescribe glasses
  • Eye muscle testing to identify weak eye movements
  • Visual field testing to measure peripheral vision
  • Corneal exam to evaluate the health of the cornea, iris, lens, and surrounding tissues
  • Glaucoma testing to measure intraocular fluid pressure
  • Examination of the back of the eye, retina, and underlying blood vessels

6. I'm the social worker at a long-term facility. What information do you need before you come see our residents?

We require:

  1. Signed paperwork by patient or POA
  2. Location in the facility
  3. Copy of insurance cards

8. How do you prioritize the health and safety of our residents?

  • Masks are worn by staff at all times and gloves used as needed
  • Self-monitoring temperature daily
  • To promote social distancing all exams can be done in the resident’s room unless the facility prefers a dedicated space
  • Disposable probes used for glaucoma testing equipment
  • Equipment, mobile cart and hand sanitization between each patient
  • Follow CDC recommendations for Infection Control
  • Large print photo ID badges will be worn by all staff
